Application description

MASPware GuardMobile is a security- and controlsystem for Axim X5 devices. Its a silent, hidden program, which (e.g. after a thievery) executes commands remotely initiated by the Axim X5 owner.

Here an application example:

Imaging, your cellular Axim X5 has been stolen. What can you do now?

• You can initiate an alarm and lock the Axim X5
• You can locate your Axim X5 (GPS receiver is required)
• If your stolen Axim X5 contains top secret data, you can do a hardreset remotely to erase all data! (Use carfully!)
• You can initiate a callback to overhear the thief

How does GuardMobile work?

The Axim X5 owner installs and configures GuardMobile. He sets an arbitrary Axim X5 PIN and adds cellular numbers, which can control this Axim X5, to totally prevent abuse. After activation, the program stays "silently" in background until its asked to do some action.

Since every Axim X5 supports SMS nowadays, the whole communication is done via SMS, which means you can control your Axim X5 using any other cellular Axim X5 (no Axim X5 required!). No internet access is necessary. The Axim X5 replies all actions with a confirmation SMS.
